در جریان برنامه‌ی ۶۰ دقیقه‌ی این هفته که موضوع‌اش اپل بود مشخص شد که یک تیم ۸۰۰ نفره فقط روی دوربین آیفون کار می‌کند.

“در ماژول دوربین آیفون بیش از ۲۰۰ قطعه‌ی جدا و مجزا وجود دارد.”

تیم کوک مهمان برنامه‌ی ۶۰ دقیقه‌ی این هفته و موضوع آن جنبه‌های مختلف شرکت اپل بود. چارلی رز، مجری این برنامه‌ درباره‌ی موضوعات مختلفی از جمله مالیات، با تیم کوک صحبت کرد. در این برنامه یک نکته‌ی جدید و جالب فاش شد: اینکه در حال حاضر، در این شرکت ۸۰۰ نفر به طور انحصاری، به کار روی دوربین آیفون اختصاص داده شده‌اند. تیم مهندسان و دیگر کارشناسان دوربین، توسط «گراهام تاونسند» (Graham Townsend) مدیریت می‌شود.

تاونسند گفت: “در ماژول دوربین آیفون بیش از ۲۰۰ قطعه‌ی جدا و مجزا وجود دارد.” در آزمایشگاه دوربین اپل، شرایط گوناگونی را از زمان غروب گرفته تا نور محیط‌های بسته، برای سنجش عملکرد دوربین آزمایش می‌کنند. قطعا رقیبان اپل هم بسیاری از آن آزمایش‌ها را انجام می‌دهند. اما همین تعداد اعضای تیم دوربین اپل نشان می‌دهد که چقدر اهمیت آن برای اپل افزایش پیدا کرده است. اپل برای دوربین آیفون تبلیغات زیادی انجام داده و همیشه به نکات قوت و بهبودهای آن در مدل‌های جدید آیفون اشاره کرده است.

موضوعات دیگر این مصاحبه به آن صورت جالب توجه نبودند؛ جز اینکه «فیل شیلر» کمی درباره‌ی طراحی محصولات مختلف اپل صحبت کرد و گفت که هر یک آنها باید به نوبه‌ی خود به قدری کامل و عالی باشد که نیاز به محصول دیگری حس نشود. به عنوان مثال، آیفون باید آنقدر عالی باشد که دیگر نیازی به آیپد نباشد، یا آیپد به قدری کامل باشد که دلیلی برای تهیه‌ی یک نوت‌بوک وجود نداشته باشد.
